Household WASH Project | Cambodia & Laos

Updated: Mar 1, 2023

February 1, 2023

Dear Friends,

Cambodia and Laos have made impressive progress in increasing access to latrines and improving household sanitation practices. However, there are still many rural households that do not have any access to these facilities and the proper training.

Lack of hygiene and sanitation leads to the spread of disease and can even cause death. The Household WASH (Water And Sanitation Health) project is designed to help families in rural Cambodia and Laos access safe water, hygiene education, and sanitation facilities.

Watch the short video above, demonstrating the daily challenge of obtaining water that women and girls in particular face living in rural areas. In addition to being unsafe to drink, this water is often scarce and difficult to access, leaving them with no choice but to travel long distances to obtain.

Working alongside the local church, our goal is to give 500 families in Northern Cambodia and Southern Laos access to wells, quality latrines and ceramic filters. This will drastically improve the health and wellbeing of their communities. In order to accomplish this, we are hoping to raise $10,000 CAD over the months of February and March of 2023.

Will you help us reach our goal with a donation of $50, $75 or $100? Together, we can do our part in putting an end to the global water crisis. Click the buttons below to help spread hope across Asia!

Grace and peace,
