Spreading Warmth Across Mongolia | 2024 Winter Kits

Because of your support, the 2024 Winter Kits project has brought warmth and hope to at-risk Mongolian children. Scroll down for links to the full report and an inspiring video!

Our impact in numbers:

• 250 volunteers from 62 churches across 12 provinces served together.

• 1,000 children received warm winter gear.

• 497 children decided to follow Christ.

• 576 families received home visits and Gospel presentations.

• 62 churches hosted discipleship meetings from September to October.

Teamwork and collaboration were recurring themes, with participants learning how to unite their congregations around common goals. Pastor D. Munkhbat (above) of the "Wave of Faith" church expressed how the training prepared him to help his congregation “stay at peace during challenges.”

Since its inception in 2001, GCI has trained approximately 70% of Mongolia’s church leaders. This ministry meets leaders where they are, offering mobile training that allows participants to stay engaged in their local communities. The program’s practical and intensive approach ensures participants leave equipped with actionable ministry plans. Hovd "Kuanshti Khabar" congregation leader, Enkhchimeg (below), reflected: “I’ve learned gratitude, perseverance, and lessons to share with my congregation.”

Every child in the program heard the Gospel before receiving their winter kit. Our team identified children in need, took precise measurements, and sourced jackets locally while securing boots at 30% below market prices. Beyond providing warmth, this project opened doors to share Christ’s love, with families embracing the Gospel and churches strengthening ties with local governments.
