Meet Soyombo | Christmas in July

Dear Friends,

I'd like to introduce you to an outgoing young man named Soyombo.

Soyombo is in the 5th grade. He attends middle school in Nalaikh, a town just outside of Ulaanbataar. He lives with his mother, father, and two siblings. Soyombo's father works in construction, but his job only offers seasonal work during the summer. Money is tight for this family, especially during the winter. Last year, they were identified by our team in Mongolia as a local family in need.

Soyombo was thrilled to receive his very own Winter Kit. Because our Winter Kits are distributed with the help of local churches, he also learned about the love of God for the very first time!

Soyombo is now plugged into AO Mongolia's LifeSkills Values Education program, where he is attaining important life skills such as confidence and self control. He said, "LifeSkills teachers have been very friendly to me and have helped me to talk confidently to adults. I learned to be content and thankful with what I have."

As a reminder, a single Winter Kit costs just $100 CAD. A single Winter Kit can bring hope to a child like Soyombo!

Friends, Asian Outreach North America's Christmas in July campaign will wrap up at the end of this week. I am so grateful for your generosity and really look forward to sharing this year's field updates and good news stories.

Warm blessings,
