The Centre, Chiang Mai | 30 Impactful Years

Dear Friends,

Marnie and I had the joy of celebrating the 30th anniversary of The Centre—a ministry very dear to our hearts—during our recent trip to Thailand.

It feels like just yesterday that we started this ministry. For those who are new here, The Centre is an English Centre and Community Hub reaching out to the students of Chiang Mai University. It has been truly remarkable to witness the lasting impact this ministry has had over 30 years!

During our visit, we had the chance to reconnect with many dear friends, some of whom were once students at The Centre when we first opened its doors. Listening to them share their fondest memories of The Centre and about how they are thriving today was a testament to how good God is.

Marnie and I had the privilege of blowing out the candles on the anniversary cake. We were surrounded by chalk stars filled with words like God, supporthome, friends, family, and love, all describing how The Centre makes students feel. Photographs adorned the walls surrounding the 30th birthday balloon—a mosaic of students whose lives were transformed alongside dedicated teachers from every corner of the globe. So many people have walked through those doors!

As we celebrated, we took a moment to remember Rob Moore, who left us too soon. Rob invested so much in the lives of the staff, volunteers, and students at The Centre during his six years of dedicated service in Chiang Mai alongside his wife, Jana, and their three kids.

Friends, I would like to ask for your continued prayers for this ministry. Pray for the Lord's guidance over the leadership at The Centre as they continue their impactful work. Please also pray that the young people of Chiang Mai will come to know the love of God.

Thank you for being a vital part of this journey with us. Your support means the world to The Centre, and to Marnie and I personally.
